言わずと知れた藤子・Ｆ・不二雄先生のＳＦ短編。やはりその魅力はＦ先生の作風である「すこし ふしぎ（ＳＦ）」。
日常生活でのふしぎな出来事を描く、ミクロな視点でのＳＦというのは小松左京氏や星新一氏といった巨匠のＳＦ短編の王道に通じるもの。科学あり、宇宙あり、SFの基本に忠実でありつつも同時に、いわゆる『藤子美学』と言えるＦ先生独自の視点はきっちり表現されている。その完成度の高さではないでしょうか。
第一巻は69年から73年までの作品を収録。年代順に掲載されているので、F先生のSF短編の作風の変化もとらえやすく、大全集よりもこちらの方がファンとしては面白いのではないか？とも思います。
そういうところが＜PERFECT版＞、ということでしょうか。
この第一巻を読んで感じるのは、傾向としてドラマ的な雰囲気で魅せる、というよりもナンセンスコメディとか大人向けのブラックユーモアテイストのシチュエーションで楽しませる作品が多い印象。象徴的なのは『スーパーさん』『カイケツ小池さん』『気楽に殺ろうよ』…といったところ。
全体としてみると、藤子Ｆ作品らしさが全面的に出ているというよりは、藤子Ｆ短編作品としての方向性を模索しているような…そういう雰囲気もあるにはあります。
とはいえ、藤子Ｆ短編の象徴ともいえる『ミノタウロスの皿』、のちのドラえもんの有名エピソード「ドラえもんだらけ」の元ネタといえる『自分会議』、どんでん返しSFとしても面白い『ヒョンヒョロ』、藤子Ｆ短編ファンなら見逃せない『劇画・オバQ』等、名作ぞろい。
